Job Description

Are you a hands-on individual with mechanical skills and a strong work ethic? We are looking for dependable and detail-oriented individuals to assist in the assembly and manufacturing of trailers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, tools, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Following health and safety rules
  • Wear personal protective equipment
  • Read and correctly interpret work orders
  • Verify prior department's work has been completed satisfactorily according to specs
  • Measure for divider stripes, spoilers, and corners to ensure smooth installation
  • Inspect aluminum skins for defects prior to installation
  • Apply double sided tape to underside of skin by specs
  • Operate saw or shear to cut skins as adjustments are needed
  • Apply permanent adhesive in straight lines on appropriate frame structure for each model
  • Install skins vertically plumb and square with appropriate overlap for each configuration, seat tape, and roll gently
  • Scuff panels at overlaps, corners, and divider strips for proper adhesive grip
  • Measure, mark, and apply corner trim and nose components
  • Clean all excess adhesive from frames and skins prior to advancing unit to the next station
  • Inspect aluminum skins for defects after installation and before advancing unit to the next station.
  • Store tools and material in proper locations when not in use
  • Maintain clean shop floor between units and at the end of shift
Required Skill/Abilities:
  • Use various power and hand tools, experience preferred
  • Read and use tape measure
  • Willingness to cross-train between departments
  • Read and follow work instructions
  • Able to work 40-60 hours a week.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
GOOD ATTENDANCE IN REQUIRED!
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting
