Architectural Metal Panel Installer Position Summary:
MetalTech Building Specialists is hiring an experienced Architectural Metal Panel Installer to join our installation team. This role installs architectural metal wall panels, flashing, trim, and related building-envelope components on commercial and industrial construction projects, and requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read drawings and specifications, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. This position communicates regularly with the Field Supervisor, Project Manager, coworkers, and other trades to maintain project schedules. Key Responsibilities
- Install architectural metal wall panel systems, including insulated metal panels, concealed-fastener panels, exposed-fastener panels, and related systems
- Install metal flashing, trims, copings, corners, closures, and other architectural metal components
- Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, details, and specifications
- Measure, lay out, cut, and fit panels and associated materials accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, scaffolding, and other installation equipment safely and properly
- Verify dimensions, elevations, and alignment throughout the installation process
- Apply sealants, tapes, gaskets, and other weatherproofing materials as required
- Coordinate with other trades and site personnel to maintain project schedules
- Perform quality-control inspections of completed work and correct deficiencies as needed
- Travel to project sites as required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred but not required
- Previous experience installing architectural metal panels, sheet metal, siding, or commercial building-envelope systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
- Strong measuring and mathematical skills
- Comfortable working at heights and from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated platforms
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew, with good communication and problem-solving skills
OSHA 10/30
certification, lift certification, or other relevant certifications are a plus Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing up to approximately 50 lbs
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and elevated platforms, and stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work from elevated surfaces for extended periods
- Use hand tools and power tools throughout the workday
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the workday
- Willing and able to travel to project sites as required, including occasional out-of-area or overnight travel What We Offer
