Grand Rapids, MI Job Details 20 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description The Residential Fireplace Installer is responsible for installation and troubleshooting of Hearth products while providing superior customer service to Williams dealers and residential customers. Position Responsibilities may include; Installation & troubleshooting of fireplaces Courteous and effective communication, verbal and text/email, with external customers and internal Williams staff Consistent completion of jobs/tasks in accordance with manager and/or trainer instruction regarding installation and operations processes and procedures Confirm installation requirements by reading and understanding manuals, codes and other related materials Utilization of electronic scheduling system using a smart phone or tablet Other jobs and responsibilities as may be assigned by Installation Services Manager; GM of Hearth Products or other senior level management.
Nature & Scope:
Works within well-defined instructions Uses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasks Work is closely supervised
Knowledge & Skills:
Use of tools including, but not limited to, hand tools, battery powered tools and AC powered tools Use of ladders, scaffolding, lifts, harnesses (when required) and other apparatus to reach elevated areas including, but not limited to roofs, chases and attic areas Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Work with materials and merchandise including manufactured fireplaces, wood and cast mantels, natural stone surround material, metal venting, sheet metal and gas lines
Experience:
0-2 years of relevant trades experience
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
People Management:

Work Environment:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the primary job responsibilities Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
