Job Description
Every kitchen CSD Custom Woodworks builds starts with a drawing, and for 30 years that work has sat entirely with the owner. We're looking for someone to learn that side of the business and grow into owning it. CSD Custom Woodworks builds custom kitchen cabinetry for builders and homeowners who expect the job done right the first time. We turn out 50-60 kitchens a year with a team of just eight, including the owner, so we move fast and everyone's work matters. Clients hire us because the finished product holds up, and because they know they'll get exactly what they asked for, and then some. We're not filling a task. We're looking for someone early in their career who wants to build real skill in drafting and design, and eventually take on the measuring, drawing, and packaging of every job that comes through this shop. This is a full-time in-house position working 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, M-F, with overtime available.
WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE
You'll spend most of your day inside a drafting program, learning to take a kitchen from an initial layout through a complete, shop-ready drawing package. You won't be thrown in and left to figure it out. Early on, expect real hands-on training alongside our team as you learn CSD's process and the drafting software's full capability. Over time, as your skills grow, you'll take on more of the work independently, including weighing in on material and complexity before it goes into production.WHO BELONGS HERE
You get lost in a drafting program for hours and call that a good day You want to actually learn a trade, not just clock in You take feedback well and want to keep getting better, not coast once you've got the basics down You show up, put your head down, and want the drawing done right You're looking for a place to grow for years, not a stepping stone to something elseWHY CSD CUSTOM WOODWORKS
