Elwood Trim & Cabinetry is looking for an Experienced Cabinet Maker to join our growing team. This position is primarily focused on building custom cabinetry in our shop. We are looking for someone with previous cabinet shop experience who understands cabinet construction and can contribute to projects with limited supervision. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality work, pays close attention to detail, and works efficiently as part of a team. Responsibilities Build and assemble custom cabinetry and cabinet components Read and work from cabinet plans, drawings, and measurements Mill hardwood and other materials accurately Build face frames and other cabinet components Assemble cabinet boxes and prepare cabinetry for finishing Operate table saws, sanders, drills, and other shop equipment safely Assist with sanding and finish preparation Install hardware and other cabinet components as needed Identify mistakes or quality issues before they move to the next stage of production Keep projects, parts, and materials organized Maintain a clean and organized work area Assist with loading and delivery when needed Work with the rest of the shop to keep projects moving efficiently Experience & Qualifications Minimum 2 years of cabinet shop or cabinetmaking experience preferred Working knowledge of cabinet construction and assembly Ability to read cabinet plans and measurements Experience using common cabinet shop tools and equipment Comfortable working with sheet goods and hardwoods Strong attention to detail and quality Able to work independently on familiar tasks while also working well with a team Dependable and consistent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Experience with CNC equipment, custom cabinetry, inset cabinetry, finishing, or cabinet installation is a plus, but not required.
