Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing custom cabinets and woodwork with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to creating functional, aesthetically pleasing cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about woodworking, construction, and delivering high-quality finished products that enhance living and working spaces. Duties Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately produce cabinetry and wood components. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinets using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines. Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication and installation of cabinetry. Utilize construction estimating skills to determine material quantities and project timelines. Safely operate power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and other equipment necessary for woodworking tasks. Install fixtures, doors, trim carpentry elements, siding, and other woodwork components on-site with attention to detail. Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for cabinet fabrication and installation while adhering to safety protocols like power tool safety standards. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure specifications are met during all phases of cabinet manufacturing and installation. Maintain a clean workspace by organizing materials and tools efficiently throughout the project lifecycle. Skills Extensive experience in carpentry, woodworking, residential carpentry, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and remodeling projects. Proficiency in construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings (schematics), blueprints, and construction plans. Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, chisels), power tools for woodworking (saws, drills), woodworking machines (planers, routers), and CNC equipment for fabrication. Knowledge of wood construction materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods, veneers; understanding of their properties for optimal use in cabinetry. Familiarity with construction site experience including fixture installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical experience related to lighting fixtures or outlets within cabinetry. Ability to perform tasks involving caulking, stucco repair or application as needed during restoration or renovation projects. Experience with water damage restoration processes including mold remediation when necessary for project scope. Understanding of rebar installation or concrete forming relevant to structural aspects of cabinetry or framing work. Knowledge of roofing techniques or siding work beneficial for comprehensive project execution. Strong attention to safety standards related to power tool operation and general construction site safety protocols. Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical schematics and collaborating effectively with team members on complex projects.
