In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to custom cabinets, built-ins, and furniture components, ensuring a clean, durable, and polished final product that meets our standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of custom residential and light commercial projects in a structured cabinet shop environment. The ideal candidate is precise, reliable, and passionate about craftsmanship, with hands-on experience in wood finishing and spray application—or the desire to learn and grow within a professional shop setting. Responsibilities Prepare cabinet and furniture surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and masking prior to finishing Apply stains, paints, lacquers, and sealants using spray equipment and hand-application methods as needed Maintain finish consistency across doors, panels, and cabinet components Inspect finished pieces for quality, identifying and correcting defects or inconsistencies Coordinate with the cabinet assembly and shop team to ensure proper fit, finish, and sequencing Maintain a clean, organized paint booth and finishing area Perform minor repairs or touch-ups to meet quality standards and production timelines Requirements Experience finishing cabinetry, furniture, or millwork (cabinet shop or similar environment preferred) Familiarity with sanding tools, spray equipment, masking techniques, and finishing materials Ability to read work orders and follow finishing specifications accurately Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work Ability to lift and maneuver cabinet components safely Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work independently once trained Comfortable working in a production shop environment with safety and quality standards Experience with professional spray booths and ventilation systems is a plus.
