Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality custom cabinets and woodwork tailored to client specifications. Your expertise in woodworking, blueprint reading, and construction techniques will ensure each project meets our standards of excellence. Responsibilities Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately build custom cabinets and related woodwork. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, including saws, drills, sanders, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinetry components with precision to ensure perfect fit and finish. Operate woodworking machines such as table saws, planers, routers, and sanders while adhering to safety protocols. Perform finishing tasks including sanding, staining, sealing, caulking, and touch-ups to achieve a polished appearance. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met throughout the construction process. Assist with site preparation, heavy lifting of materials, fixture installation, siding work, and other related tasks as needed on residential projects. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry or woodworking within residential or restoration industries. Strong knowledge of wood construction materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods, and trim components. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers) and power tools for woodworking (e.g., saws, drills) with a focus on safety. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and site safety procedures. Familiarity with mold remediation, rebar installation, metal stud framing or plastering is a plus. Excellent craftsmanship in cabinet installation and remodeling projects with attention to detail.
