Updated 08/23/2026 Job Description Job Summary Surface preparation: Disassemble cabinets, sand surfaces, strip old finishes, fill imperfections, and clean surfaces to prepare them for a new finish. Finish application: Apply stains, clear coats, paints, and lacquers using manual methods or spray equipment according to manufacturer specifications. Repair and touch-up: Perform high-quality repairs on finished surfaces and touch up wood, veneers, or other materials to meet quality standards. Adherence to standards: Ensure work conforms to quality standards, customer-approved designs, and engineering requirements. Safety and protection: Comply with all safety policies, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and protect aircraft interiors from damage during the process. Requirements Ability to interpret blueprints, design drawings, and specifications. Proficiency with various hand and power tools, including sanders, grinders, and spray guns. Knowledge of different finishes, such as urethane, lacquer, and enamel. Experience with wood veneers, staining, sanding, and touch-up techniques.
