Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Woodworker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, installing, and repairing a variety of wood-based products and structures with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality residential, commercial, and restoration projects, ensuring all work meets safety standards and client specifications. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute woodworking projects. Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood components. Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, siding, trim carpentry, and custom woodwork on various construction sites. Perform framing carpentry tasks including metal stud framing and concrete forming as needed for project scope. Conduct restoration work involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, and rebar installation. Assist with roofing, siding installation, flooring laying, tile work, and other remodeling activities to ensure project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, and equipment operation. Qualifications Proven experience in carpentry or woodworking within the construction or restoration industry. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, chisels), power tools (drills, sanders), and CNC machinery for fabrication. Knowledge of construction estimating techniques and experience with various building materials including wood, metal studs, concrete forms, stucco, siding, and drywall. Familiarity with installation processes such as fixture installation, door hanging, cabinet setup, flooring installation, tile laying, and electrical or plumbing rough-ins related to woodwork projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required on construction sites. Strong understanding of safety standards relevant to construction sites including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reading detailed schematics or technical instructions.
