Position Overview The Woodworking Mill Worker is responsible for operating woodworking machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and assemble wood products. This role ensures materials are processed to required specifications while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Essential Job Functions
- Operate woodworking machines such as saws, planers, jointers, sanders, and CNC equipment.
- Read and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and related materials to precise dimensions.
- Inspect finished pieces for quality, accuracy, and defects.
- Perform routine equipment checks, adjustments, and basic maintenance.
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Requirements
- Experience with woodworking tools and machinery preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a production environment.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of shop practices and procedures.
