The Traveling Installation Trainer is responsible for training, coaching, and supporting installation teams in the proper installation of walk-in shower systems and walk-in bathtubs. This role travels to various locations to conduct hands-on training, ensure installation quality standards are met, improve installer performance, and promote safety and customer satisfaction. The Traveling Trainer serves as a subject matter expert and liaison between field installation teams, management, and manufacturing partners. Key Responsibilities Conduct hands-on training for new and existing installers on walk-in shower and bath installation techniques, best practices, and company standards. Travel to branch locations, job sites, and training facilities to provide onsite instruction and support. Demonstrate proper installation procedures, including demolition, plumbing preparation, waterproofing, wall systems, shower pans, doors, accessories, and finishing work. Evaluate installer performance and provide coaching to improve productivity, craftsmanship, and customer service. Develop and maintain training materials, installation guides, videos, and standard operating procedures. Perform installation quality audits and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and manufacturer specifications. Assist with troubleshooting installation issues and resolving field challenges. Collaborate with operations, production, and management teams to identify training needs and performance improvement opportunities. Support new market launches and installer onboarding programs. Maintain detailed training records and reports. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 3-5+ years of experience in bathroom remodeling, walk-in shower installation, or residential construction. Previous experience training, mentoring, or leading installation crews preferred. Strong knowledge of shower systems, waterproofing methods, carpentry, plumbing basics, and finishing techniques. Ability to read installation manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and training documentation tools is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work in residential construction environments. Ability to demonstrate installation techniques for extended periods. Travel Requirements Frequent travel required (typically 75-80% depending on company needs). Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Ability to travel by vehicle and air as needed, including overnight stays. Preferred Skills Experience with acrylic, composite, or solid-surface shower systems and Walk-in Bath. Knowledge of residential remodeling sales and customer service practices. OSHA or construction safety certifications. Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
