Job Summary Cape Fear Cabinet Co is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hands-on Cabinet Workshop Technician to support daily cabinet fabrication and workshop operations. The ideal candidate will assist with material preparation, cutting, assembly, finishing, equipment operation, and quality control while maintaining a safe and organized production environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with the fabrication and assembly of custom cabinets and millwork components. Measure, mark, cut, drill, sand, and prepare materials according to specifications. Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment safely. Assist cabinet makers with assembling frames, doors, panels, drawers, and hardware. Review measurements, drawings, and production instructions before beginning work. Inspect components for accuracy, proper fit, finish, and overall quality. Prepare materials and finished components for installation, delivery, or finishing. Maintain an organized inventory of lumber, panels, hardware, and workshop supplies. Keep workstations, tools, machinery, and production areas clean and orderly. Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with loading, moving, and organizing materials and completed cabinet components. Follow production schedules, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in cabinet making, woodworking, carpentry, or a workshop environment preferred. Familiarity with common woodworking hand tools and power tools. Ability to accurately read measurements and follow basic drawings or instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to learn new tools, equipment, and fabrication techniques. Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials as required. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
