This is not a traditional scheduled position. Work is offered based on current production needs. Contractors can review the scope, drawings, deadline, and compensation for available projects and decide whether they want to accept the work. Evening and weekend availability is especially valuable, although we can accommodate most schedules as long as agreed completion dates are met. This could be an excellent fit for someone who already works full time in cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, construction, or finish carpentry and wants additional income outside of their normal schedule. Types of Work Projects may include: Cabinet box assembly Residential and commercial cabinetry Reading and building from cabinet drawings Custom cabinet fabrication Doors and components not produced on CNC Veneer work Manual edgebanding Miter-fold construction Built-ins and bookshelves Furniture and one-off custom projects Specialty woodworking and fabrication You do not need to be skilled in every area. We are interested in both experienced cabinetmakers capable of complex custom work and efficient assemblers who excel at repetitive cabinet production. Compensation Our preference is to agree on compensation before work begins whenever the scope is clearly defined.

Compensation may be structured as:

Per cabinet Per component or piece Fixed project price Hourly rate for custom or undefined-scope work Our goal is not to find the cheapest labor available. We are willing to pay a premium for quality, reliability, craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently. Efficient contractors should benefit from their efficiency. When a project is priced by the piece or completed scope, the agreed compensation does not decrease simply because an experienced builder completes the work quickly. Work Volume Work volume varies based on current projects. A typical week may have approximately 10-15 cabinets available, while larger projects may occasionally create opportunities for substantially more work, including production runs of 40-60 or more cabinets. There are no guaranteed hours or minimum workload requirements. Contractors may accept or decline individual projects. Schedule Schedule is highly flexible. Evening and weekend availability is preferred, but contractors generally determine when accepted work is completed subject to the agreed project deadline. There is no requirement to leave an existing job or business to work with Georgia Custom Cabinets. Work Location Depending on the project, work may be completed: At the Georgia Custom Cabinets shop in Suwanee, GA At the contractor's own shop or work location when practical Contractors working in the GCC facility may use appropriate shop equipment after demonstrating that they understand how to operate the equipment safely. Safety is non-negotiable. What We Are Looking For Successful contractors should be able to: Read and understand cabinet drawings Work independently Produce square, accurate, high-quality cabinetry Maintain strong fit-and-finish standards Identify drawing, material, or fabrication concerns before they become larger problems Meet agreed completion dates Communicate clearly when questions arise Take ownership of workmanship Contractors are expected to correct deficiencies resulting from their workmanship. Georgia Custom Cabinets remains responsible for issues resulting from design errors, defective materials, or customer-directed changes in scope.
