Job Overview We are hiring an experienced, hands-on Lead Cabinet Maker to work alongside our Cabinet Shop Foreman as a strong second in the shop. This position is for someone who can independently build quality custom cabinetry from approved drawings, organize assigned work, and help less-experienced employees improve. You will report to the Foreman, who manages the overall production schedule and shop operations. Professional cabinet fabrication experience is required. Applicants should be able to describe cabinets they have built, the construction methods they used, and their personal responsibilities from drawings through completed assembly. Cabinet installation or general construction experience alone does not establish the fabrication skills this position requires. Responsibilities Build custom cabinets, vanities, built-ins, drawers, shelving, panels and related millwork. Read drawings, measurements, cut lists, specifications and hardware information accurately. Verify dimensions, materials and hardware before starting assigned work. Perform accurate cutting, machining, assembly, fitting and hardware installation using cabinet-shop tools and machinery. Check dimensions, squareness, fit, appearance and function throughout production. Prepare complete, protected and clearly labeled cabinetry for finishing, staging, delivery and installation. Help the Foreman keep assigned work moving and identify missing information, material shortages or quality problems early. Demonstrate proper methods, answer questions and guide other shop employees when assigned. Record job progress, labor, material use and issues in JobTread or the designated company system. Maintain organized material storage, reduce waste, care for equipment and keep the shop safe and clean. Qualifications Demonstrated professional experience building custom cabinetry, casework or closely related millwork. Ability to complete assigned cabinetmaking work independently to consistent quality standards. Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, sheet goods, lumber, joinery, assembly and cabinet hardware. Accurate measuring, layout and drawing-reading skills. Safe, effective use of standard woodworking tools and cabinet-shop machinery. Dependability, clear communication and willingness to follow the Foreman's production priorities. Patience and ability to help develop less-experienced employees. Willingness to use basic digital job records. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

Five or more years of cabinetmaking or custom woodworking experience, experience guiding other shop employees, and photographs or a portfolio of completed work.
