Top Drawer Cabinetry & More is looking for an experienced, dependable Cabinet Builder / Installer to join our team. We are a small, locally owned custom cabinetry and finish carpentry company serving the Tri-Cities area. We are looking for someone who can work alongside our lead cabinetmaker in the shop to help keep projects moving efficiently and also assist with installations in customers' homes. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works efficiently, and understands that the details matter.
Responsibilities:
Build and assemble custom cabinetry in our shop Cut, assemble, and prepare cabinet boxes, face frames, shelving, trim, and other components Assist with fabrication of custom built-ins, pantries, closets, islands, range hoods, and specialty cabinetry Read measurements, drawings, and project specifications Safely operate common woodworking tools and equipment Prepare completed cabinetry for delivery and installation Load and unload cabinetry and materials Install cabinets, built-ins, trim, fillers, panels, crown molding, and related components Make field adjustments as necessary during installation Maintain a clean and organized shop and jobsite Work efficiently with the owner/lead cabinetmaker to keep projects on schedule
What We're Looking For:
Previous cabinetmaking, woodworking, finish carpentry, or cabinet installation experience strongly preferred Comfortable using table saws, miter saws, routers, sanders, drills, nail guns, and other woodworking tools Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work from dimensions Strong attention to detail Good problem-solving skills Dependable and punctual Able to work independently as well as part of a small team Professional and respectful when working in customers' homes Ability to safely lift and carry cabinetry and building materials Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to learn our building and installation methods
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time position Approximately 40 hours per week Monday-Friday and some Saturdays $20-$27 per hour depending on experience and skill level Paid time off available after eligibility requirements are met 6 paid holidays after eligibility requirements are met Opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation based on performance
