Master Installer Company Overview Clean Air Epoxy USA Not every concrete coating is the same, and most homeowners don't find that out until it's too late. The industry is full of one-day epoxy jobs that peel inside a year, big-box kits that flake off under a tire, and crews that grind up a garage into a cloud of silica dust to get their coating to hold. We built something different. Clean Air Epoxy has developed a proprietary, patent-pending primer that creates a molecular bond directly with the concrete. No grinding, no dust, no shortcuts. One crew, one day, and a floor that's warrantied for life. It's the floor a homeowner would pick if they knew what to look for, and we're building the national installation network that will ensure the product is installed to last a lifetime. Company-owned, no franchises. Our first crews launch in Austin and San Antonio this fall, and we're scaling across Texas, and then across the sunbelt from there. Here's how we work. We're obsessed with outcomes: a floor that still looks new in ten years, a homeowner who tells three neighbors, a callback rate close to zero. Everything we do points at that. The materials we specify, the processes we teach, the standards we hold. We invest heavily in training because mastery of the process is the product. And how we pay every person on the team ties directly to how they support those outcomes: quality, craftsmanship, and the results our customers experience. We're not hung up on résumés. We want people who take pride in their work, want to get good at something real, and understand that the details are the whole job. The rest we'll teach. If you want an easy job, there are easier ones. If you want a seat on the team building this, we'd like to meet you. Position Overview Clean Air Epoxy USA is hiring Master Installers — experienced coatings professionals who set the technical and cultural bar for their regional hub. Masters run the most complex jobs on the schedule, mentor Junior Installers through the 60-day paid certification track, and anchor the quality culture other installers measure themselves against. This is the role that anchors a hub. It's also the launching pad for our most sought-after promotion: Market Expansion Lead, the Master Installer track that travels to launch new markets across the Sunbelt. A Day in the Life You'll run the most complex jobs on the schedule — larger commercial installations that may require diamond grinding, shot blasting, or extensive patching before coating; unusual substrates; or high-visibility residential projects — often with an apprentice on your crew. Residential garage work follows the CAE process (non-acidic etch, no-grind primer, polyurea base, flake, polyaspartic top coat), which you'll model to a standard the hub can measure itself against. Commercial and remediation work is where your surface-prep depth really shows. When you're mentoring, your Junior partner is on straight hourly wage during their training window, which means your piece-rate on shared production isn't split — the full square-foot revenue flows to you.
That structure is deliberate:
mentoring compounds your earnings during the 60-day training window, and your deferred graduate performance bonus rewards you for the quality of installer you produce over the following 90 days. What You'll Own
- Executing high-complexity installations to a standard the rest of the hub can measure themselves against.
- Mentoring one Junior Installer at a time through the 60-day paid training track and signing off on their certification milestones.
- Diagnosing job-site problems — moisture, adhesion, substrate defects, punch-list issues — and resolving them without escalating every time.
- Modeling customer-experience standards: professional walkthroughs, calm handling of concerns, and Google-review asks that consistently convert.
- Reinforcing SOPs and the CAE operating platform (CRM, scheduling, quoting, payment) with the installers you mentor.
- Providing structured feedback to the Regional Manager on installer readiness, product performance, and process gaps.
- Traveling occasionally (1-3 day trips) to support a nearby hub or a trade event when asked. Required
- 3+ years of hands-on experience installing epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurea, or comparable concrete coatings.
- Deep working knowledge of full-spectrum surface prep — the CAE non-acidic etch + no-grind primer process for residential, plus diamond grinding, shot blasting, and patching for commercial and remediation work. Moisture testing and application of polyurea base, flake broadcast, and polyaspartic top coat systems.
- Prior experience leading a crew, running a lead-installer seat, or formally training new hires.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and clean MVR; authorized to work in the U.S.; able to pass background and drug screen.
- Able to lift 50-75 lbs repeatedly, wear a respirator, and work in typical coatings conditions.
- Excellent verbal communication and the patience to teach adults.
- Track record of dependable, long-tenure employment. Preferred (Not Required)
- Manufacturer master-installer certification (Penntek, Elite Crete, Graniflex, Wise Coatings, Sherwin-Williams industrial, or equivalent).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- ICRI Concrete Surface Repair Technician certification.
- Prior experience with iPad-based CRM, scheduling, or checkout workflows.
- Interest in progressing into a Market Expansion Lead or Regional Manager role. Compensation & Advancement
- Base compensation.
Reference OTE:
$76,890 at Base production (6,000 sf/month), scaling to $139,849 at Tier 4 (10,000 sf/month). All figures assume quality gates cleared.
- Piece-rate. Piece-rate at $0.868 per installed square foot — the highest rate on the installer ladder. Every square foot compounds your earnings, and shared-crew production flows fully to you during mentored windows.
- Productivity-tier bonuses. Quality-gated Tier 2 / Tier 3 / Tier 4 milestone bonuses that stack on piece-rate ($150 / $200 / $250 per month at tier, plus marginal rate accelerator).
- Graduate performance bonus.
When you graduate a Junior Installer to Certified, your bonus is paid 90 days later — $1,500 core bonus when your graduate is retained, installing to our quality standard, and delivering 4.5+ star customer outcomes. Production overlay adds $500 (Tier 3) or $1,000 (Tier 4) when your graduate over-produces. You're rewarded for the quality of installer you produce, not for whether the local market is booming or slow.
