1099 Independent Contractor / Project-Based About Arbor & Ore Arbor & Ore specializes in high-end custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, specialty doors, furniture, and one-of-a-kind interior woodwork for luxury residential projects throughout Utah. We are seeking experienced independent cabinet and millwork installation contractors capable of performing installations at the level expected in high-end custom homes. This position is intended for established installation professionals who are fully equipped, licensed, insured, and capable of independently completing complex custom cabinetry and architectural millwork installations. Scope of Work Independent contractors may be responsible for installing: High-end custom cabinetry European-style and face-frame cabinetry Custom kitchens Built-in cabinetry Islands and furniture-style cabinetry Vanities Closets and wardrobes Architectural millwork Wall paneling Floating shelves Custom trim and mouldings Specialty woodwork Appliance panels Integrated and panel-ready appliances Custom doors and related architectural components Other custom woodwork produced by Arbor & Ore Installations are primarily located in Park City, Deer Valley, Summit County, Salt Lake City, and surrounding areas , with a significant amount of work located in Park City. Contractor Requirements Applicants must : Operate as an independent contractor Maintain all required Utah licenses applicable to their work Carry current general liability insurance Carry any other insurance required by Utah law for their business and employees, if applicable Provide proof of licensing and insurance prior to beginning work Have reliable transportation capable of accessing jobsites throughout Park City and surrounding areas Own and provide all tools and equipment necessary to complete assigned custom cabinetry and millwork installations professionally and efficiently Have experience installing high-end custom cabinetry and architectural millwork Be capable of reading architectural plans, cabinet drawings, elevations, and installation details Be capable of independently laying out and completing complex installations Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite Have the ability to protect finished cabinetry and surrounding finishes during installation Communicate professionally with Arbor & Ore project management, builders, superintendents, designers, and other trades Be dependable and capable of meeting agreed-upon project schedules Experience We are looking for experienced installers with a strong background in custom residential cabinetry and finish carpentry . 5+ years of professional custom cabinet or architectural millwork installation experience is preferred. Experience should include work such as: High-end residential cabinetry Custom kitchens Flush inset cabinetry European frameless cabinetry Face-frame cabinetry Integrated appliance installations Scribing cabinetry and finished panels to walls, floors, ceilings, and stone Large finished end panels Applied panels Crown, light rail, fillers, scribes, and finished mouldings Floating cabinetry Architectural wall panels Complex built-ins Specialty hardware Precision door and drawer adjustments Applicants whose experience is primarily limited to production cabinetry, basic trim carpentry, or entry-level cabinet installation may not be a good fit for this position. Quality Expectations Arbor & Ore works on luxury custom homes where tolerances, fit, finish, and attention to detail are extremely important. Completed installations are expected to be: Level, plumb, square, and properly aligned Securely and professionally installed Tight at joints and seams Properly scribed to surrounding surfaces Free from unnecessary damage or modification Adjusted so doors and drawers operate correctly Clean and ready for final inspection Consistent with Arbor & Ore drawings and installation standards Contractors are expected to identify field conditions or conflicts before making modifications that could affect finished cabinetry. Professional Standards Our installers regularly work in occupied or nearly completed luxury homes. Contractors must maintain a professional appearance and conduct themselves appropriately around homeowners, builders, designers, architects, and other trades. Jobsites must be kept clean and organized throughout the installation process. Protection of finished flooring, cabinetry, countertops, walls, appliances, and other completed work is expected at all times. Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor position . Compensation is based on the agreed-upon scope of work and project requirements.
