Benchmark Woodworks - Portsmouth, VA Benchmark Woodworks is a commercial millwork company specializing in custom cabinets, countertops, and architectural millwork. We are looking for a dependable Cabinet & Millwork Finishing Assistant to work alongside our Finisher. Responsibilities Assist with sanding and preparing cabinets, countertops, and other millwork for finishing. Assist with staining, clear coating, and other finishing processes as directed. Help move and handle cabinets, countertops, and other heavy materials. Gather materials and supplies needed for finishing projects. Follow instructions and established finishing procedures. Keep the finishing room clean and organized. Communicate with the Finisher and Shop Foreman regarding upcoming projects and priorities. Assist with general shop duties when finishing work is caught up, including cleaning, cabinet assembly, material handling, and other tasks as needed. Qualifications Dependable and willing to learn. Strong attention to detail. Able to follow instructions consistently. Comfortable lifting and moving heavy materials. Previous cabinet, woodworking, painting, sanding, or finishing experience is a plus, but not required . Must be willing to assist throughout the shop when needed. Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30

PM Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
