Mid-State Supply, one of Wisconsin's leading wholesale distributors, is looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. What You'll Do As a Field Service Technician, you'll travel to customer locations to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cabinetry products while delivering an outstanding customer experience. Every day brings something different as you work hands-on to resolve issues and ensure our customers are completely satisfied.
Responsibilities include:
Diagnose and repair cabinetry concerns, including finish, functionality, installation, and cabinet integrity. Perform on-site adjustments, touch-ups, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Read and interpret cabinet drawings, blueprints, and design layouts. Determine the root cause of product issues and recommend effective solutions. Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, builders, and internal team members. Document service work using company software and mobile technology. Follow all company safety standards and industry best practices. Travel daily to customer locations throughout the service area. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and provides exceptional customer service.
Qualified candidates will have:
High school diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred). At least 2 years of industry experience. Knowledge of residential construction, remodeling, or cabinetry. Strong carpentry skills and the ability to perform cabinet repairs and finish touch-ups. Experience reading cabinet plans, elevations, or design layouts (20/20 Design experience is a plus). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively. Comfort using computers, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Why Mid-State Supply?
