In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for preparing cabinetry for the paint shop, overseeing the cabinet sanding process and quality control. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with skilled tradespeople, and develop your expertise in woodworking. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure all areas of cabinetry are prepped and ready to receive cabinet finish. Inspect all cabinets for inherent defects and putty and sand as needed. Final sand all cabinets once assembled to ensure that there are no cross grain scratches or flaws due to the manufacturing process. Work with the Paint Shop Manager to inspect and ensure all cabinets going into the Paint Shop have received proper sanding procedures by the sanding team and ensure quality control prior to cabinets being finished. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly throughout the project. Experience Proven experience in cabinet making or trim carpentry within the construction or restoration industry. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
