Job Title:
Cabinet Builder Job Description The Cabinet Builder assembles a variety of wooden cabinetry and shelving displays for retail environments. This role involves reading pictured work orders and 3D SolidWorks blueprints, accurately measuring materials, and using hand and power tools as well as finishing equipment to produce high-quality, finished products. Responsibilities Assemble a variety of wooden cabinetry and shelving displays used in retail stores. Read and interpret pictured work orders to understand project requirements and specifications. Read and interpret 3D SolidWorks blueprints to ensure accurate construction and assembly. Use tape measures to take precise measurements and verify dimensions throughout the build process. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, drilling, fastening, and finishing wood components. Use table saws and other woodworking equipment to cut and prepare materials according to project specifications. Perform finish carpentry tasks, including sanding, fitting, and final adjustments to ensure a high-quality finished product. Inspect completed cabinetry and displays for accuracy, quality, and adherence to design and safety standards. Assist with general labor tasks in the shop as needed, such as material handling, organizing work areas, and supporting other projects. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and adjust to changing priorities or project schedules. Essential Skills At least 2 years of cabinet building experience. At least 2 years of experience using a tape measure and hand and power tools. Proficiency in cabinet making and construction-related tasks. Ability to read and interpret pictured work orders. Ability to read and interpret 3D SolidWorks blueprints. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Experience operating a table saw and other common woodworking equipment. Experience in finish carpentry, including fitting, trimming, and finishing wood components. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise, high-quality work. Ability to perform general labor tasks in a shop environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 2 years of woodworking or assembly experience is preferred. Prior carpentry experience is a plus. Willingness to help out around the entire shop and support various tasks as needed. Experience in a similar custom cabinetry or retail display environment is beneficial. Comfort working with finishing equipment and tools. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a shop environment on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with hours subject to change depending on project needs. You will work around woodworking equipment such as table saws, hand and power tools, and finishing equipment, assembling cabinetry and displays in a production setting. The environment is hands-on and active, requiring comfort with shop conditions, machinery, and occasional adjustments to hours to meet project deadlines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
