Descriptions & requirements Job Description General Utility Techs are critical to success at FritoLay! Our General Utility Techs are responsible for unloading and loading new and used cartons, incoming raw materials, plant supplies, and plant equipment. In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing: Unloading and loading new and used cartons, incoming raw materials, plant supplies, and plant equipment Analyze production schedule and provide cartons as needed for production and Monitor Inventory levels to ensure no outages Maintain department at AIB levels at all times Routine lifting between 30-50 lbs and climbing in trailers and on rail cars Coordinate activities with processing, packaging, and maintenance to ensure materials are available for use and that materials meet Frito- Lay specifications Operate heavy equipment including stand up forklifts, sit down forklifts, the ACS (Automated Carton Sorter) and baler Execute weekly inventory with 100% accuracy Candidates will be chemical trained and will be expected to conduct allergen and non-allergen changeovers, as well as sanitation tasks. This includes specialized cleaning of packaging and/or processing equipment using high pressure water and strong chemicals, along with hand detail methods. Candidate will also perform any housekeeping work including high volume waste removal. We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule. As a General Utility Tech, weekends or holidays may be required. It's a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse or manufacturing environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet the entirety of your shift. General Utility Techs are expected to stay on the line until relieved for break. We're seeking individuals who are flexible, committed, and safety-focused.
