JOB SUMMARY DISCRIPTION

The Churn Operator will provide oversight of the butter churning process ensuring machines and equipment are operating efficiently and producing safe and quality products.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES CIP

all process equipment and lines Perform the startup and shutdown functions of process equipment Perform CIP and process connections Operate churn and butter filler with parameters and specifications and make adjustments as needed Keep accurate and legible records Take and analyze butter samples and make process adjustments Always maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to learn and operate complex production machinery in a safe and efficient manner Knowledge of good manufacturing practices Strong time management skills with the ability to complete various tasks with minimal supervision Ability to read, hear, speak, comprehend, carry out instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Ability to work 12 hour shifts - including holidays and weekends

Experience:

At least 1 year of experience in a plant production, warehouse, or general labor Previous experience in dairy processing or food and beverage preferred

Education:

High school degree or

GED PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
