Chem Room Technician

Job description: We are currently hiring Chem Room technician associates for a premier employer in the Hayward area. Our client offers long-term employment opportunities, including temporary to full time.

Job Title:

Chem Room Technician Pay:

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour DOE, plus shift differential

Schedule:

Mon-Fri, with weekend rotation

Shifts:

Swing :

2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Graveyard:

10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. All graveyard employees when they first start will be trained during the day for a week before transition to the graveyard shift.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Employees are responsible for processing customer supplied parts within the chemical process (etching) & detailing department according to known processes as specified by work order traveler instructions.
• Prepare the part(s) as the final preparation before clean room packaging.
• Work with other team members to assist with chemical process & detailing process or problems.
• Knowledge of where incorrectly processed parts should go along with a prepared Defect Material Report.
• Follow up on returned parts for final corrected processing and closing of travelers
• Ability to make judgment calls and recognize incorrect processes to avoid damage to part(s).
• Possess various mechanical skills and have a feel for scrubbing and power washing.
• Work with buffing equipment, air drying, chemical soaking & wiping, stain removing, and bath preparations.
• Utilize chemicals, ultrasound, and hot tank preparations.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Willing and able to work non-production hours as necessary
• Standing for long periods of time
• Ability to read and comprehend internal documents such as work order travelers, inventory records, logs and general company records
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication skills in order to process inventory, counting, time allocation, and work hours.
