Production Operator - UV (3rd Shift) Suja Life - 3.9 Oceanside, CA Job Details From $19 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid parental leave Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Computer literacy High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Summary The UV Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the UV systems to ensure the safety and quality of beverages produced in the plant. This role involves monitoring UV equipment, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to strict sanitation and safety standards. Schedule Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM Training will occur during the 2nd shift, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate UV disinfection systems and ensure they function correctly, efficiently, and safely. Monitor operational parameters such as UV intensity, flow rates, and water quality. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of UV equipment to prevent downtime. Maintain accurate records of UV system performance and any maintenance activities. Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Participate in safety trainings and drills to maintain a safe working environment. Comply with all environmental regulations and company policies regarding beverage safety and quality. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet industry standards. Perform NetSuite system transfers, data entry, and reporting. Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant. Regular and reliable attendance.
Job Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; further technical or vocational training preferred.
Experience :
Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety protocols. 2+ Years of warehouse/manufacturing experience
Knowledge :
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards for food and beverage manufacturing (GMP's) Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting. Forklift experience a plus Language Skills Ability to communicate, read, listen, and understand English. Bilingual is a plus. Working Environment Regular exposure to wet, cold manufacturing environments (temperatures as low as 35°F) Occasional exposure to dry warehouse spaces or freezer conditions (down to -10°F) Frequent exposure to high noise levels (above 85 dBA) Requires use of PPE including safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, and steel-toed footwear Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the full duration of the shift Must be able to frequently lift/move hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs. with continuous motion Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, and reach overhead regularly Must have sufficient hand strength and manual dexterity to operate sanitation tools and machinery Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical Compensation and Benefits Come thrive at Suja Life!
