Job Description

Overview Provides support for shipping and receiving activities, R D and GMP inventory control, and general warehouse operations. Assists with inventory stocking and ensures building supplies are properly maintained. Experienced in material handling and inventory management practices. Helps maintain accurate records, including material requests, inventory logs, and import/export documentation. Supports the safe shipment of hazardous materials in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Works effectively both independently and as part of a team, following established procedures and applying relevant technical skills. Responsibilities Receives, identifies, quarantines, stores, handles, dispenses, releases, and issues raw materials, starting materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), intermediates, reagents, labels, GMP supplies, and packaging materials. Supports the maintenance of accurate inventory records (both paper and electronic), including tracking of expiration and retest dates for all GMP materials. Assists in the retesting of GMP inventory batches for starting materials, intermediates, and drug substances as needed. Participates in annual inventory cycle counts of all GMP materials. Supports the disposition of expired materials and maintain appropriate documentation. Ensure proper operation and temperature monitoring of refrigerators used for material storage. Participates in internal GMP inspections as required. Operates a forklift as needed for material handling. Coordinates the transfer of GMP materials between STA Pharmaceutical US LLC, clients, and third-party locations, both domestic and international. Collaborates with various departments to coordinate efficient shipping and receiving processes. Maintains up-to-date training and documentation for all import/export activities. Monitors and replenish general supplies in GMP, R D, and office areas as necessary. Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma required. 1-3 years of prior experience working with chemicals and with import/export procedures is preferred. Familiarity with dangerous goods regulations and related cGMP practices is a plus. cGMP skills a plus.

Abilities:
Ability (and interest) to receive training in the area of industrial chemical management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate professional, organized and reliable behaviors. Ability to coordinate and work independently with procedural training and associated skills. Proficient in DOT and IATA hazardous material shipping regulations, with current certifications.
Physical Requirements:
Must be medically fit to wear a respirator, lift 75 pounds. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, and bending while safely working with hazardous materials.
