A medical manufacturing company based in Bristol, CT is looking for a Metal Stripping/Chemical Etching Operator. This position requires a variety of skills, initiative, and involves several job responsibilities.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Metal Stripping/Chemical Etching Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating specialized equipment to perform metal stripping and chemical etching processes, ensuring the production of clean, precise metal parts in accordance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and possess a strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
  • The removal of oxide from metal wire products using chemical-based stripping tanks within a production environment safely and efficiently.
  • Manage chemical stripping tanks, ensuring proper chemical concentration, temperature and vibration, while maintaining lot traceability throughout the process.
  • Ability to read Work Instructions and learn use of job-related tooling and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to perform precision micrometer measurements to 0.0001".
  • Secondary manufacturing operations as needed.
  • Working within the guidelines of an
ISO 13485
Medical Device Quality System.
Qualifications:
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
  • You must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to use/read a micrometer.
Additional Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of Manufacturing preferred
  • Metal Finishing/Stripping a plus
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
