Chemical Manufacturing Compounder -
Direct Experience Required Position Overview:
Contract manufacturer of cosmetics and personal care products, located in Fairfield County, CT, seeks a Chemical Manufacturing Compounder with responsibility for the manufacture of bulk product in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Responsibilities of the
Lead Pharmaceutical Compounder:
Perform calculations to determine the correct quantity of ingredients to be added. Record calculations on batch record Locate and identify chemical materials in inventory in accordance with inventory codes and control numbers specified on the batch record. Add ingredients to batch tanks in strict accordance with specified procedures and parameters, including mixing speeds, addition rates and temperature settings. Withdraw samples of product from batch tanks at intervals as instructed. Connect various pumps, hoses and fittings to transfer product to specified storage tanks. Maintain the Production Water System Additional Skills Required of the
Pharmaceutical Compounding Lead:
Excellent ability with arithmetic calculations. Able to easily convert between English and Metric units of measure. Understand and follow standard health and safety codes for chemical materials handling Read, understand and follow procedures precisely. Able to move 55-gallon drums and similarly heavy chemical containers. Forklift experience and certification a plus but not required.
Work Environment:
This is a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and cold. Experience and Educational Background College Graduate Preferred. Will consider exceptional candidates with significant work experience Salary Commensurate with ability and experience. $25/hr - $36/hr.
