Full Time Cardinal Equipment Services is looking for a Ancillary Production Technician based out of our Winter Haven location. Were currently looking for Monday through Friday, working 6:30AM to 3:00PM.
Job Summary:
Cardinal Equipment Services is seeking a hands on Ancillary Production Technician to support fast paced equipment refurbishment work in Winter Haven, FL. This role focuses on mechanical triage, disassembly, repair, reassembly, and basic quality checks to ensure equipment is restored to working condition. The technician uses a variety of hand tools and power tools to fix and rebuild equipment while keeping accurate records of parts and repairs. Strong mechanical ability, the ability to follow SOPs, and comfort working in a busy production environment are essential. The technician also maintains a clean, safe workspace and works closely with the production team to keep workflow moving smoothly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety protocols to protect associates and company assets. Perform initial diagnosis, disassembly, and inspection of various equipment to determine required repairs or refurbishment steps. Wash, clean, and prepare components for reassembly; ensure all parts meet quality and cleanliness standards. Reassemble equipment using new or refurbished components based on customer profiles and SOP requirements. Test and verify equipment functionality after reassembly to ensure all units meet performance quality and safety standards. Package completed products securely for shipment, ensuring protection of equipment during transit. Use hand tools, power tools, air tools, and specialty equipment (drills, wrenches, grinders, soldering tools, screwdrivers, etc.) to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work performed through data entry in the company system. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to restore proper equipment operation. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, and customer specifications throughout the remanufacturing process. Identify defective or nonusable parts and scrap them according to company guidelines. Coordinate with production floor personnel to complete required steps and maintain workflow continuity. Responsible for maintaining all company issued tools, ensuring they are organized, accounted for, and stored properly at all times. Ensure the workspace is kept clean and safe, adhering to company standards. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective quality management and technical skills needed. Basic knowledge of and ability to use power and hand tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to operate Company computer systems. Ability to utilize all company-provided resources and technology. Ability to read, write, and speak English, with both written and verbal instruction. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools, including screwdrivers and drills. Regular and prompt attendance as an essential job function. Follow all prescribed safety and security measures protecting associates and company assets. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and compliance with safety policies. Soldering or electrical board repair experience preferred
Work Environment:
Work performed on cement floors in a warehouse environment. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperature conditions, including heat, cold and humidity. Noise levels are typically moderate to high due to machinery, powered industrial equipment, and general warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements:
Repeated sitting, standing on cement floors, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying, up to 35 lbs. Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, twist, reach, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties. Continuous bending, kneeling squatting, grasping, reaching, fine manipulation and exposure to chemicals and noise.
Work Requirements:
Follow all Company Safety Rules. Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety vest, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, etc. Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
