Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, chemical loading, unloading and packaging, quality testing, equipment inspection and maintenance, and shipping and receiving support. Flexible availability is preferred. This position is a full-time position regularly scheduled M-F 7:00AM-3:30PM but hours may change based on the production schedule including weekends and overtime hours are available and expected to be worked when needed.
Position Qualifications:
High School or GED (minimum requirement) Experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment Strong mechanical aptitude Capable of using Outlook Email and Microsoft Office programs Physically able to perform job duties (climb stairs and ladders, carry up to 50lbs, etc.) Extended periods of standing and walking Ability to wear all required PPE equipment to meet safety requirements including but not limited to respirators, chemical resistant clothing, hard hats, steel-toed footwear, protective eye protection and more.
Principle Responsibilities:
All work will need to be in accordance with J6 safety and quality standards, ISO 9001 and OSHA policies and procedures Maintain a safe work environment that meets J6 expectations of cleanliness and neatness Safely operate and monitor chemical processing equipment including but not limited to chemical reactors, mixing tanks, storage tanks, distillation equipment, heating/cooling equipment Production of J6 Polymers products Packaging finished products Work interdependently with all departments to manufacture the highest quality products. Loading/Unloading Shipments General maintenance and upkeep on facilities and equipment Operate Forklift, Scissor Lift, and various other heavy equipment Inventory Assistance Benefits available include Health/Dental/Vision Insurance 401(k) with Matching Short Term/Long Term Disability & Life Insurance PTO and differential pay (weekends, evenings, holidays) Potential for year-end bonus available
