Production Chemist/Compounder Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Production Chemist to join our team. This role is vital in performing chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Responsibilities Perform chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale and execute via batch record. Maintain documentation standards to meet GMP requirements, including recording of charges/transfers, acknowledging actions as they are performed, and documenting key observations related to specific operations. Set up, operate, and clean all plant equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, filter dryers, shelf dryers, and milling equipment. Participate in staging of raw materials, loading raw materials into equipment, and unloading intermediates and products from dryers. Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively in a group setting. Collaborate with Chemical Engineers to produce R D Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). Qualifications High School Diploma Associates or Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering preferred. 2+ Years of Batch Mixer/Compounder Experience Pharmaceutical Industry preferred Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morton Grove, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
