Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Sterile Processing, is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the activities of the technical personnel engaged in activities designed to provide sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment and instruments necessary for patient use.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of two years of technical training as a Central Service Technician. Minimum of two years experience. Certification from an accredited Central Technician Program or equivalent training and experience. Must have appropriate analytical Must have a thorough knowledge of septic and sterile techniques and procedures; sterilization, preparation and distributions systems. Position requires a basic mechanical knowledge of unit equipment. Must develop a thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and standards related to unit responsibilities. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to supervise/manage people.
