Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Mechanic to support production equipment in a new chemical manufacturing operation. This is an opportunity to join a growing facility at the ground level and help establish reliable maintenance systems in a safe and efficient production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repair within a manufacturing or production environment. Position Overview The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment in a chemical manufacturing facility. This role requires experience with 480V electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, machining, and industrial controls. This position plays a key role in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and maintain industrial production equipment Troubleshoot and repair 480V electrical systems Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Perform MIG and TIG welding as needed Fabricate replacement parts using mills and lathes Troubleshoot PLCs and industrial control systems Perform preventative and predictive maintenance Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings Follow OSHA safety standards including LOTO, confined space, and hot work procedures Communicate with production teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime Required Skills and Experience 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting 480V electrical systems Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics MIG and TIG welding experience Machining experience using mills and lathes Experience troubleshooting PLCs or industrial control systems Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Experience working under OSHA safety standards Preferred Experience Experience working in chemical manufacturing, process manufacturing, or regulated industrial environments Familiarity with pumps, valves, piping systems, and process equipment Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Ability to work in confined spaces Ability to climb ladders and work on elevated platforms Ability to stand, bend, and perform precision tool work for extended periods If you are an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic interested in joining a new chemical production facility in Gardner, KS and helping build reliable production systems from the ground up, we encourage you to apply. #IND123
