This role involves setting up and operating equipment, oversee assigned personnel, and ensuring all packaging meets company and customer specifications. Additionally, the Lead Operator will be responsible for training team members, overseeing changeovers, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
With the support of the Supervisor and Shift Manager, ensures that Operators and Line Support staff are trained properly. Train and mentor team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Oversee changeovers to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Acts as backup to Operators to operate production processes and equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines when required. Back up to the Supervisor Competent English skills in spoken word and reading comprehension. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to work under supervision. Team Work High School Diploma or Equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
