Job Description
Process Technician, Harahan Wastewater Treatment Plant Qualifications
- Experience in operation and maintenance of a process facility
- General Knowledge and experience with tools, materials, and equipment
- General knowledge and experience with safety equipment and procedures
- Electrical or Plumbing Experience is a plus
- High School or GED (Preferred)
- Ability to comprehend complex specifications, blueprints and manuals (Preferred)

- Perform routine and preventative maintenance, lubrication and minor adjustments on equipment including pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, gates, blowers, chemical feed, and any other equipment
- Perform routine instrument calibration
- Maintain logs, perform rounds and complete maintenance work orders
- Perform manual labor including cleaning equipment, facilities and grounds as necessary
- Maintain, repair, clean, and operate the plant, mechanical areas, exterior grounds and other facilities
- Provide maintenance support including but not limited to welding, plumbing, minor electrical work, minor carpentry, painting and other general maintenance.
- Operate electrical and gasoline powered equipment. Maintain this equipment by performing minor repairs
- Respond to emergency problems in the facility and larger sewerage network. Perform emergency repairs as needed Working Conditions
- This job requires employees to be hands-on at the facility
- Exposure to elevated degrees of Heat, Cold, Noise, Dirt, and Wastewater
- Must be able to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary
- Climbing stairs and lifting items more than 50lbs Schedule
- Day Shift
- Monday-Friday, Rotating Weekends
- Overtime
- Weekend Availability
- Emergency Callouts Technicians will be required to test for the Louisiana Wastewater Operators Licenses.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per weekBenefits:
