Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Shipping duties include but are not limited to filling containers, tank trailers, blending, transferring, and shipping products. Essential Functions Statement(s) Monitor recording instruments, flowmeters, and level indicators Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines Record operating data such as test results and flow readings Confer with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety efficiency, and product quality Draw samples of products to send to the laboratory for testing Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by supervisory personnel Start and stop pumps Environmental sampling and log sheet rounds Line up valves from specified tanks to make transfers Patrol work areas to ensure that solutions in tanks are not in danger of overflowing Inspect operating scrubber flows Engage in operating machinery that regulates the flow of materials and products Turn valves to regulate flow of products to tanks, storage drums, tote bins, bulk trailers, cylinders or isotainers Transferring flammable and corrosive propellant from drums, cylinders, bulk storage tanks, and bulk trailers Manage waste materials in accordance with BMP's and environmental procedures Calculate material requirements or yields according to formulas Gauge tank levels Maintain a written log of shift activities, as required Load & unload tank trucks, tank cars, portable containers, etc. Climb ladders and stairways, as necessaryPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Chemical Plant and Systems Operator Minimum Requirement:
3+ years operations related experience in a plant/manufacturing environment OR Associate's degree in Process Technology Computer Skills Basic computer skills Certificates & Licenses Process Technology Degree or Certificate is preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
