This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity for candidates with at least 1 year of manufacturing experience (ideally plastics, mixing/blending, or colorant environments). Quick Details Item Details Job Title Production Operator - 2nd Shift Location Holden, MA Schedule Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Pay Rate $22.65/hour Type Temp-to-Hire Hours 40 hours/week Experience Required 1+ year manufacturing PPE Steel-toe boots required (all other PPE provided) Languages English / Spanish welcomed Job Summary The Production Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of equipment used to blend, mix, package, and transport liquid or dry chemicals/materials that make up customer products. This role supports safe, efficient production while meeting quality standards and customer specifications. Essential Responsibilities Set up, start, and operate production equipment while following safety procedures and quality standards. Weigh and stage ingredients/materials to meet batch/recipe specifications . Monitor production processes to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient operation. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; escalate when needed. Operate machinery to mix, extrude/discharge, or handle materials per procedures. Visually/physically inspect materials for quality and conformance. Collect samples as needed and coordinate with the lab for evaluation/adjustments. Perform required equipment cleaning and maintain housekeeping standards. Complete production documentation (logs, reports, system entries) with strong attention to data accuracy . Participate in training and continuous improvement efforts. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience (preferred backgrounds include plastics, mixing/blending, extrusion, industrial operations ) Comfortable working in a production environment with chemicals/materials Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office helpful) Physical & Work Environment Regular standing, walking, bending, and use of hands for tools/controls Frequently lift/move up to 55 lbs ; occasionally handle heavier materials (up to 250 lbs with assistance/equipment) Exposure may include dust, fumes/airborne particles, wet/humid conditions, vibration, moving mechanical parts, and varying noise levels Must be able to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirator/chemical suit where required) Masis Staffing is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
