About Prefere Melamines As a leading chemical manufacturing plant, we produce and develop advanced melamine-formaldehyde resins used in coatings and industrial applications worldwide. Our capabilities span lab-scale innovation through full-scale manufacturing, enabling efficient product development, process scale-up, and reliable supply. We are driven by quality, technical expertise, and continuous improvement. Job Duties Operate reaction kettles, distillation columns, filtration systems, and related process equipment using computerized controls to manufacture resin products. Monitor and maintain process conditions to ensure safe, efficient, and quality production operations. Perform start-up, shutdown, sampling, pH testing, and routine process adjustments as required. Transfer finished products to storage, pack-out systems, tank trucks, railcars, drums, and IBCs. Inspect, prepare, and load tank trucks and railcars following established procedures and checklists. Maintain accurate production, shipment, and maintenance records using SAP and shift log documentation. Support resin reclamation activities and operate forklifts/material handling equipment to move products and materials throughout the facility. Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality standards and procedures. Responsibilities Add rework and raw materials into production processes for blending and reprocessing. Inspect tanks, pipelines, hoses, trucks, and railcars to ensure safe and contamination-free operations. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials throughout the plant. Change filters, clean process lines, and assist with maintenance and lockout/tagout activities. Troubleshoot process issues and take corrective action as needed. Support safety programs, housekeeping, emergency response, and regulatory compliance activities. Complete required training and assist with on-the-job training for new operators. Monitor and control bulk material transfers using pumps, valves, and conveying systems while preventing leaks and spills. Requirements High school diploma Possess strong mechanical aptitude Possess strong mathematical skills Familiar with Office 365 (Outlook, Excel and Word) Ability to read and understand complex diagrams, blueprints and charts. Ability to safely operate in confined spaces Ability to safely operate in high (above ground) areas Ability to safely wear full, face masks/respirators MUST be able to work a 12-hour rotating shifts (7am - 7pm/7pm-7am), days AND overnights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. •After 12 months, pay rate is $42.20 per hour.
