Job Description

We are too! Scope of Responsibility As a Polymer Technician, you will operate and maintain extrusion and lab equipment, support process validation, and troubleshoot production issues. This role is ideal for someone with polymer processing experience who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Target Pay:
The target starting base salary for this position is $24.74 - $30.03 / hour (plus a quarterly bonus incentive). Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Cascade Engineering considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. General Responsibilities Able to start-up/change-over/shut down extruderAble to start-up/change-over/shut down pilot line Lab extruder and other auxiliary equipmentCompletes weekly PMs and logs completed PMs in EAM systemPerforms facility shutdown and start-upConducts basic troubleshooting of dryers, extruders and feedersAble to set up process parameters in set-upRuns/assists in tryoutsCompletes and verifies process verification is accurateUnderstands functionality of testing equipment and how to troubleshootUnderstanding effects that molding variables and components have on testingTrains others on testing procedures and data analysisPerforms inventory and QAD for productionAble to understand and assist in weekly schedulingTracks all scrap, SG and other relevant data for production runs and enters into QAD for inventory accuracyDetermines disposition of nonconforming materials and performs product deviation process Able to perform all material handling dutieLoads and unloads gaylords of materials from semi-trucks using forkliftWorks well in a team environment Assists leaders in Rapid Improvement Events, participates in CE Completes training and practices good TS quality systems, 7 Habits, CES, LO/TO, chain/crane and hi-lo behaviorsPerforms additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives Culture Bearer Understands and supports the values of the Triple Bottom Line (TBL)Exhibits high moral and ethical standards and high integrityValues people regardless of their background Exhibits the traits of a servant leaderExhibit the principles of 7 Habits and Emotional IntelligenceEncourages open dialogue and communicationDevelops high trust relationships within all levels of the organizationPursues Excellence At Cascade Engineering, we welcome and celebrate diversity and inclusion.
