Hourly, Non-ExemptGENERAL SUMMARY
This position is critical to business operations as injection molding machines and robots drive production. Proper maintenance is essential to avoid downtime and ensure customer delivery commitments. The role is responsible for ensuring machines and robots are production-ready and aligned with OEE goals. High attention to detail and strict adherence to processes and root cause analysis are required.Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor completion of weekly preventive maintenance programs for machines and molds
- Collaborate with engineers to access and improve robotic programs
- Perform emergency maintenance on molds, robots, and equipment
- Identify and implement improvements to production output
- Conduct root cause analysis and document findings
- Assist with mold setups, repairs, and related functions
- Set up machines according to production parameters and improve cycle times
- Participate in meetings and communicate updates
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and lifts as needed
- Ensure spare parts are maintained and ordered
- Use hand and power tools, including electrical meters
- Adapt to job changes based on workflow
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, sit, and move for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs safely
- Tolerate high noise levels with proper PPE
- Follow all safety policies
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Rotating 12-hour shifts (36 hours one week, 48 the next)
- Work required most holidays
- Non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years technician experience, preferably in injection molding
- Exposure to scientific molding (preferred)
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and time management skills
- Working knowledge of robotics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Mechanical and pneumatic aptitude
- Basic hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting skills
