The Elliot 1 Day Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art facility located at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. The center also offers pre-surgical testing, post-operative care, and education to ensure a smooth transition back to normal activities. About the
Job:
Responsible for the decontamination, preparation and sterilization of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
What You'll Do:
Decontaminate, prepare, and sterilize equipment and supplies in accordance with established AAMI Standards, Infection Control Policies and Procedures and1-day Surgery's policies and procedures. Working knowledge of sterilization equipment including steam, sterrad sterilizer, washer decontaminators, and ultrasonics. Demonstrates competence in selecting the appropriate chemical solutions for sterile processing washers and operation of washers. Report malfunctioning or defective equipment and or supplies to shift leader and or manager immediately for follow up. Assemble and label hospital instrument trays and linen packs; inspect, delint and fold when necessary. Perform required record keeping including, but not limited to, steam and sterrad records along with biological monitoring records. Good communication skills. Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Technician Certification from the State of New Hampshire required, unless other current NH State License is held. One to three (3) years of experience preferred.
