Job Description
Chemical Lab Operator - Night/Over-night shift 5+ years of recent chemical operations experience, ideally in chemical or non-pharmaceutical plant operations Responsibilities include:
- Operates laboratory and production equipment including reactors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, filtration systems, analytical instruments, and safety/containment equipment. Handles routine testing, measurement, and documentation while maintaining safe and compliant lab conditions.
- Perform testing of products
- Operate PLC control panels
- Hands-on assembly/disassembly of equipment
- Experienced in operation of process units
- Responsible for independently running equipment
- Record and analyze data from process runs.
- Set up controls for recording of data on PLC and other data recording devices.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on lab equipment.
- Accurately weigh and ensure that the correct ingredients are used as indicated in the manufacturing order
- Maintain good written, verbal communication with management, engineers and mechanics
- Follow all company safety policies, good manufacturing practices and maintain good hygiene
- Work with reactors, pumps, filter press, spray dryers, GMP etc.
