Job Description

To operate, under the supervision of members of the research staff, such as the mechanical equipment as shall be necessary for the production of resin on the pilot plant scale and/or the production from resins of articles for physical testing.
This includes such duties as:
obtaining raw materials for kettle batches, charging, operating and cleaning the kettle(s). This includes the Brighton Kettle. Carry out physical and chemical control tests on resins from plant production and/or experimental batches. Keep records of test results, file away the samples. At any time. When there is no work such a s outlined above, the Pilot Plant Operator may be assigned to duties as outlined under Laboratory Technician. During the course of job duties, must be able to prevent/contain chemical spills in order to ensure employee safety and protection of the environment. Perform any and all supplemental duties involving the use of common skills while performing normal job functions. Operate forklift as instructed by supervision or as required to perform his/her job duties.
