Production Operator

The Production Operator is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of chemical processing equipment within a manufacturing facility. This role supports day-to-day production activities by operating processing systems, monitoring process conditions, handling materials, and ensuring products meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements in a team-based, shift environment. Core Responsibilities Operate chemical processing equipment such as reactors, tanks, pumps, filtration, and refining systems Load and unload bulk materials, including tank trucks and rail cars, and receive inbound raw material deliveries Collect process samples from vessels, tanks, and transport equipment in accordance with procedures Monitor plant operations using control systems and perform routine visual inspections to assess operating conditions Read, document, and interpret operating data and make process adjustments to maintain safe and efficient production Demonstrate proficiency in equipment operation with limited supervision and utilize computer systems to complete production tasks Follow all safety procedures, complete required training, and properly use personal protective equipment at all times Perform housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production environment Collaborate with planning, logistics, maintenance, laboratory, and production teams to meet production schedules and quality expectations Support site environmental, health, and safety standards and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment preferred Familiarity with distributed control systems (DCS) and manufacturing systems such as SAP is a plus Strong commitment to safety and adherence to operating procedures Demonstrated troubleshooting ability and attention to detail Ability to work rotating shifts and perform physically demanding tasks in an industrial environment Production Operator 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Greenville, OH DSJ Global 8 reviews The Production Operator is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of chemical processing equipment within a manufacturing facility.
