Job Description

As our Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing, packaging, and labelling Naphthenic chemical products. Specifically, this will include: Preparing chemicals for manufacturing and initiating the manufacturing process; Sampling and performing quality control tests; Packaging, labelling, and preparing products for shipment; Performing routine maintenance tasks; and, Other duties as needed. Experience working in an industrial settling or with chemicals, driving a forklift, and an Associate Process Technology degree is preferred, although comparable training and experience will be accepted. Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Chemical Operator and become a vital part of producing high-quality industrial and pharmaceutical chemicals. In this role, you will be responsible for operating complex equipment, handling hazardous chemical agents safely, and ensuring compliance with strict regulatory standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help drive efficiency, safety, and quality in our manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Responsibilities Operate chemical processing equipment following manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines to ensure consistent product quality. Handle and transfer industrial chemicals using appropriate material handling equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper storage and disposal in accordance with safety protocols. Maintain rigorous adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards, including CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), respiratory protection, and other safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of machinery, pipelines, and storage areas to identify potential hazards or malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance as needed. Safely manage chemical agents during production processes, including mixing, transferring, and packaging while following all safety procedures related to chemical handling and industrial chemical manufacturing. Document all operational activities accurately in logs and reports, including batch records, incident reports, and shift handovers. Support warehouse activities such as inventory management, materials handling, and packaging operations to ensure seamless production flow. Experience Prior experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility or industrial chemical production environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate material handling equipment like forklifts and other machinery safely. Familiarity with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), GMP regulations, CGMP standards, and laboratory practices related to pharmaceutical or chemical production. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks during production processes. Hands-on experience with laboratory testing or quality assurance processes is a plus. Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE usage, respiratory protection devices, and hazard communication standards in an industrial setting. $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
