Job Overview Arbonite is hiring Industrial Lead Rubber lining technicians to keep the country's most crucial businesses running. Tasks include leading shop and field rubber lining projects and crews. Reading drawings, masking, working with hand tools and power tools, and rubber sheet lining application. Roles and Responsibilities Cut and apply Rubber sheet linings to customer equipment Read and interpret shop drawings, including laying out tank lining patterns Lead rubber jobs, through technician oversight and teaching new technicians in both Shop and Field settings Prepare steel through abrasive blasting (Steel grit, Garnet and Black Beauty are common blast media used) Mastery of rubber lining tools, including stitchers, rollers, knives and grinding equipment Ability to troubleshoot equipment and rubber lining application systems Perform quality assurance, track, and record data Prepare and execute various rubber lining curing operations (Autoclave, Internal Pressure and Atmospheric Cures) Travel to customer sites to perform on-site rubber lining installations and repairs Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines Achieve and demonstrate a thorough and complete level of understanding of the Company's safety policies and/or OSHA safety standards through introductory and continuing education safety training programs Qualifications and Educational Requirements 5+ years of Rubber lining experience required Skilled trade experience or trade school education required High School Diploma or educational equivalent (GED) preferred Experience using power tools is required Must work well in a team environment, as well as independently Must be professional and have a good work ethic Must be well-organized and have good housekeeping skills Possess good problem-solving skills Forklift experience preferred, but not required Ability to meet or exceed the Company's attendance and punctuality standards Must live within a one-hour drive of Doylestown, PA or have the ability to relocate Reliable transportation is required Physical Demands Some lifting required (5-50 lbs.) Ability to climb ladders Ability to work in confined spaces without claustrophobia Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, standing for prolonged periods and walking as job requires Environmental Conditions Exposure to chemicals and solvents Extreme heat or cold Noise level, which may at times require hearing protection (earplugs or other means)
