Overview:

Reprocesses instruments using high level disinfection (HLD) or sterilization techniques according to manufacturers instructions for use (IFU). Work is completed in a collaborative, team based environment. Performs biological and chemical testing on HLD and sterilization equipment. Monitors instrument and supply inventory. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations. Demonstrates commitment to maintaining and improving departmental/unit standards of care and practice. Responsibilities:

Reprocesses instruments using high level disinfection or sterilization techniques. Maintains an adequate supply of sterile and non-sterile supplies for the department. Maintains an adequate inventory of surgical instruments. Performs daily biological and chemical testing, changes graphs and tapes and maintains records on all sterilizers. Performs secretary/clerical functions. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.

Qualifications:

HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of sterile processing experience required.

One of the following:

Certified Registered Central Service Technician, Certified Instrument Specialist required upon hire Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Preferred Remote Work/Work from
