WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING
Summary:
Wausau Supply Company Utility Operator is responsible for finishing tasks for the entire production process and ensuring efficiency throughout the lines. It is the responsibility of the Utility Operator to be aware of all production goals, quality control and establishing high standards of workmanship. To be an effective Utility Operator, the applicant must be fluent with communication, and it is imperative that positive relations with all internal levels of the organization remain uncompromised. Duties to include, (but not limited to):
  • Use working knowledge of manufacturing to maximize efficiency.
  • Train and assist others in all Diamond Kote manufacturing machines, systems, and processes. Requires gaining functional expertise in all aspects of plant operation.
  • Perform operator functions as needed.
  • Perform material handling functions as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment when applicable.
  • Identify product that does not meet quality standards and correct.
  • Be a leader in all aspects of safety, including all safety guidelines, reporting practices, and processes.
  • Use computer software and ERP systems to perform job tracking functions and inventory functions.
  • Perform supervisory duties in the absence of Team Leader.
Utility Operator Demonstrates:
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
  • Ability to analyze innovative solutions to eliminate obstacles and solve problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining solid communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating leadership skills that portray excellent teamwork.
  • Ability to maintain positive morale within the workforce.
Education /
Experience:
  • High school diploma Working Demands /
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds without assistance.
  • Work schedule consists of 4 days per week, working an anticipated 12-hour daily shift.
  • Standing while performing tasks for 12 hours shifts.
  • When warranted, after hours availability or an additional shift is required as business demands dictate.

Production Supervisor/ Plant Manager Conclusion:
The Utility Operator will exemplify the high standards that have come to be associated with Wausau Supply Company. As an ESOP owner, acting with honor, integrity, and positivity is imperative. The Utility Operator's prime objective is to maintain the safety, quality, and efficiency of our production lines and warehouse facilities.
