Machine Operator

Full-Time, On-Site About Grey Industries Grey Industries specializes in powder manufacturing for nutraceuticals, functional foods, and botanical supplements. Our facility handles blending, mixing, filling, and packaging operations under strict GMP and sanitation guidelines. We support both contract manufacturing and private-label production. Role Overview We are looking for a Machine Operator to run and maintain powder-processing and packaging equipment used in food and supplement manufacturing. This position involves operating industrial mixers, fillers, and pouch machines while following batch instructions, safety guidelines, and production procedures. The environment involves consistent exposure to fine powders, and PPE is provided.
Primary Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Setup Operate and adjust mixing, blending, filling, and sealing equipment Set up machines for daily runs, including changeovers and calibration Monitor line performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality Identify and resolve basic equipment or performance issues Production Tasks Measure and weigh raw materials according to batch sheets Verify product quality (weights, seals, labels, consistency) Keep accurate batch documentation, production logs, and lot tracking Notify supervision of any equipment, quality, or production concerns Sanitation & Compliance Clean and sanitize machinery, tools, and production areas Follow GMP, SOP, and food safety procedures at all times Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the shift Work safely when handling powders and cleaning chemicals Work Environment & PPE You'll work in a powder-heavy manufacturing area where protective equipment is required.
Provided PPE includes:
N95 mask or respirator Safety glasses or visor Disposable protective suits What We're Looking For Must be 21 years of age or older Experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operator, Packaging Operator, Blending Operator, or similar role Preferred experience in food production, supplement manufacturing, or chemical/powder processing Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues Basic math and measurement skills Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance PTO and paid holidays Consistent day shift (no nights or weekends) Stable, growing production environment with room to advance Work Location Old Hickory, TN —
